* The well-recognized Escalade has been among the Kings of the SUV family for years. For 2015, the much loved Escalade ESV has grown into a bold, beautiful and luxurious vehicle. The classic, eye-catching look of the Escalade ESV remains unchanged, riding high on the traditional body-frame. But for some it's on what's on the inside that counts. The all new interior is wrapped in a wealth of perforated leather, prominent stitching and genuine wood, while tiered surfaces demonstrate a level of detail and craftsmanship unmatched in previous generations. The dash and instrument panel are anchored by the flashy CUE multimedia system and its 8-inch touchscreen interface. CUE uses proximity sensors to activate common options and controls as the user's hand approaches. Opt for the larger 12.3in and embrace the HD graphics. The Escalade also carries over a 6.2-liter V8, this one comes from the latest generation of direct-injection engines, with output increased to 420HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. This combination combusts in a freight train-like pull when you hit the throttle. Escalade's newest technologies include safety features to help protect occupants at all times; front and rear automatic braking relies short-range radar technology and ultrasonic sensors to help avoid front and rear low-speed collisions. Driver Awareness packages include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, and the patented Safety Alert Seat, which uses directional vibrations to alert the driver to potential crash threats. • TRANSMISSION IS HORRIBLE

This car was serviced countless times. The loaners had the same problem. When braking the transmission would give you a jolt, making it seem like you had been rear ended. I took the car to the dealer countless times. Finally I filed a Lemon Law complaint. Cadillac took the car back and refunded a good portion of the money without having to go to a hearing. When I returned the car to the dealer, the manager that completed the paper work advised me that the transmission problem was ongoing and they hadnt figured out what was wrong with it. This happened mid year in 2015 when they had a model change. This car is great for long trips if you have a large family, but for driving in the city with the thumping transmission its not fun. I went back to a german SUV and am considering the GM Yukon at present since it doesnt have the same transmission.

Over the years I've had Yukon Denalis and Chevy Tahoe all loaded and all went over 150K miles before I got another. This Escalade is basically a Yukon Daneli loaded with all the goodies and more! The ride is perfect and quiet all the time! I have 3500 miles on it and we love it, the seats are great for long trips or short runs to the nearby grocery store. Our grandson love the video system, it's perfect for hauling a truck load of kids. My wife and I took it up to San Fransisco (a six hour drive from our home in SoCal) and than into the Napa Valley area, a perfect trip. All wen to plan and the truck rides beautifully at higheay speeds! We love the seats, better than the 2012 BMW 750Li we traded in for this new truck! And yes, we will recommend it to anyone looking for a full size SUV with all the goodies!

After 12 years of owning a German SUV's. I decide it was time to try American again. What a freaking mistake. The AC doesn't work properly, the transmission had a problem, the radio goes in and out. When a car company cannot even get the radio right! NEVER AGAIN.
